How to Connect Your Stripe Account to Xero
Here’s a step-by-step guide to connecting your Stripe account directly to Xero. This will automatically sync your Stripe transactions, making reconciliation a breeze.
Important: Before You Begin you need a Stripe Standard Account
Before you can connect Stripe to Xero, you must first request a Standard account from Pebble. Please contact our support team to get this process started.
Once your Standard account is approved, you can proceed with the steps below.
What You'll Need
-
Access to your Stripe account (log in credentials)

Follow these instructions to find and install the Xero app within your Stripe dashboard.
Step 1: Find the Xero App in Stripe
-
Log in to your Stripe Standard account.
-
In the top-right corner, click the Apps Icon.
-
From the dropdown menu, select “Discover More Apps” at the bottom.
-
This will take you to the Stripe App Marketplace. In the search bar, type “Xero” and press Enter.
-
Click on the Xero app from the search results.
Step 2: Install and Connect to Xero

-
Follow the on-screen prompts to grant permissions. You will be redirected back to your Stripe Dashboard.
-
Find Xero in the side panel of your Stripe dashboard and click on it.
-
You will be prompted to sign in to your Xero account. If you do not have a Xero account, you can create one at this stage. Once signed in, enter your credentials and allow Stripe to access your Xero data.
Step 3: Set Up Your Stripe Bank Feed
-
Once connected, you will see an onboarding page. In the “Setup balance bank feeds” section, click the edit icon (it looks like a pencil).
-
Click the “Set up Stripe balance bank feed” option.
-
Enter the currency for the bank feed you want to create (e.g., "AUD", "USD", "GBP").
-
Click the “+” icon next to the currency to add it.
-
Click “Save” to return to the Setup Details page.
Step 4: Complete the Setup

On the Setup Details page, confirm that your desired bank feed currencies are listed.

You’re All Set!
That's it! Your Stripe transactions will now automatically sync with Xero.
NOTE: transactions will not show in Xero until they have cleared (i.e. you will need to wait the standard 4 working days clearing time before they start to show); and historic data does NOT pull through.
